Meditation : Healing

Our health and wellbeing is influenced by the subtle energy force, sometimes called chi or prana.

This is taken in through the chakras from where it flows out into every part of the body.

Balancing Chi Energy

Step one

  • Sit with your spine erect.
  • Imagine that you have roots going down from your feet and spine into the earth.
  • Take a deep breath and feel the earth energy being drawn up into your feet and legs.
  • Step two

  • Take another breath and draw the energy up into the sacral chakra.
  • Then take another breath and take it up to the solar plexus chakra.
  • Continue in this way all through the chakras.
  • Step three

  • Visualise a golden light above your head.
  • Imagine this light cascading into every cell and atom.
  • Get a sense of these two energy currents, one coming up, thje other going down.
  • Step four

  • Rest in the energy for a while, allowing it to cleanse and revitalise you.
  • You may feel a tingling sensation as you focus on the energies.
  • Then come back to your normal consciousness.
  • When the chi energy is balanced we feel well and strong.

    However, the flow is often blocked through injury, stress or negative emotions.

    Meditation rebalancves the energy flow and removes blockages, by channeling the energy within us and getting it to flow smoothly, we are carrying out an effective treatment used in many alternative therapies, as well as eastern medicinal traditions - namely the unblocking and balancing of the chakras.
