What it does

calms hysteria and nervousness, and is taken as a general tonic to lift low spirits. A decoction of feverfew is useful in easing coughs, whezzing and difficult breathing. Earache was relieved by a cold infusion, while a tincture of feverfew eased the pain and swelling caused after an insect or vermin bites. The herb was planted around houses to purify the atmosphere and ward of disease. Today, it used used to prevent or ease migraines or headaches.
