What it does

It is mainly used in colds, chills, fevers, inflammatory complaints and for severe diarrhoea. It is taken iunternally for hysteria, nervousness and neuralgia, infections, fevers, and pneumonia. Large doses of camphor should be avoided as they can cause vomiting, palpitations and convulsions due to the effect it has on the brain.
